Suites at bed and breakfasts are spacious and bright, decorated in a characteristic style of the tradition of the ancient houses of Florence and Tuscany. The size of the rooms are very generous: the areas vary from 22 to 26 sqm (bathrooms excluded), the height is about 3.50 m, thus obtaining rooms with volumes from 75 to 95 cubic meters, lit with large windows that let all the light of a fourth floor.

Each room is furnished in a different way (while keeping the same services) and has the name of a very important historical character who left his mark in Florence (as in Italy and the world): Leonardo, Michelangelo, Dante, Etc...

Every suite is equipped with digital lcd TV, telephone, Internet (Wi-Fi and LAN), in-room safe to store valuables (even a laptop) and a private bathroom. Linen, towels and courtesy service are provided. The air conditioning and heating are adjustable and there are double glazing windows to improve the thermal and acoustic insulation.

The bathrooms are modern and comfortable, tiles are in light botticino stone with darker details. Besides all the normal services, they are equipped with large shower and hairdryer.

The bed and breakfast is in the historical centre of Florence (down town), in the monumental Peruzzi palace complex. It is located in Via De Benci, between Volta de Peruzzi and Piazza Santa Croce, very close to Teatro Verdi and Biblioteca Nazionale.

This building is part of an ancient area called "Prima Cerchia Comunale" formed by the end of the twelfth century and mainly made up of defensive walls against which there was a defensive moat.

In the XIV century the moat was changed into a street. In the same period the basis of Peruzzi palace was built instead of defensive walls. The name of this road is due to the Bencis, a noble family that established in this part of Florence in XV century, buying the properties from another family: the Albertis, who had given their name to the road before.

From this period the entire neighbourhood became very important for its architecture, because noble families of the period ordered many projects of sumptuous palaces.

Check-in must be between 10 am and 7:00 pm (arrivals later than 7 pm are not accepted), after the check-in you will have the keys and you will be free to go in and out anytime. Check-out at 11 am. The only identity documents valid for check-in are Identity Document and Passport: without these you will not be admitted and check-in will be denied

No kitchen use, in the common area there are a fridge and drinks machines.

There is a workstation PC avaible where you can browse Internet, check your email, or simply download photos from your digital camera.

Small and polite (quiet) pets (dogs, cats, Etc.) are welcome.

The Italians have discovered relatively late compared to other countries this way of traveling using bed and breakfast (both for tourism, work or whatever), but they seem to appreciate it most because they are often accommodated in very well kept, "warm" and cosy rooms, sometimes with better prices and often characterized by the culture of the places where they are, adding value to the stay. For example, the De Benci b&b is an apartment located in an old palace in the historic heart of the city but it has been completely renovated a few years ago, the Florentine style was kept, with wooden beamed ceilings and original and ancient furniture.
